3.7 MM. This is Pierce Pond which is a popular destination and a scenic pond along the Appalachian Trail. Harrison's Pierce Pond Camp (a lodge for accommodations for hikers along the trail) where red, white and blue pancakes are the rule at breakfast and canoe rentals for the lake is available is located near here. Pierce Pond Mountain is in the background of this photo.
