mm 5.4 - View east from North Kinsman Mt. The northbound AT descends to Lonesome Lake (center of picture), then continues descent into Franconia Notch.  It then climbs to the Franconia Ridge, reaching it somewhere near the far right of the picture.  The trail follow this ridge over Mt Lincoln and then Mt. Lafayette, the latter being the highest peak visible in the picture.   Courtesy dlcul@conncoll.edu
