Climbing on the Beaverbrook Trail. This extremely steep portion of trail climbs 2000 feet in 1.6 miles, most of it along a almost continuous series of falls and cascades of Beaver Brook. This is the lowest major cascade. Courtesy dlcul@conncoll.edu

There are many of these wooden steps bolted into the rock along the trail. This is probably one of the less steep portions where they are found. In places there are is also rebar to use for handholds. Courtesy dlcul@conncoll.edu
