For 0.7 miles south of Rte. 301, the AT follows an old railroad grade in Fahnestock State Park. This was left over from the iron mining days in the 19th century. Note the extensive rockwork under the trail bed. Taken at approx. MM 0.6. Courtesy dlcul@conncoll.edu
