mm 8.9 For many years this marker was the symbolic midpoint of the entire AT. Because of relocations, it has been a long time since this was the true mid-point. In 2011 it was removed and is now at the AT Museum in Pine Grove Furnance State Park. A new sign marks the actual mid-point which in 2011 was near Toms Run Shelters.
