steeply into this col that the map accompanying the AT Guide to NC/TN calls
Horse Ridge Gap.  The trail then climbs to a high point and begins the long,

mm 10.4  Junction of the AT with the Hampton Blueline Trail, AKA Laurel Fork Trail.  This blue-blazed trail which goes to
the left in this picture follows Laurel Fork Gorge downstream 1 mile to US
321 near Hampton.  The southbound AT goes right here while the northbound
