Blackhorse Gap (Mile 8.1 of Sec. 26, Mile 0.0 of Sec. 27). Old Fincastle Road (USFS 186), a gated road, heads northwest down the mountain from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Room for cars to park here, but do not block road. The AT crosses USFS 186 just beyond the gate). Courtesy dlcul@conncoll.edu
