| 5 | The parking area is on a major state highway a half block from the trail, is directly across the road from the Greylock Community Club, is next door to a residence, has no vegetation or other obstacles blocking its visibility, and has city, county, and state police vehicles driving by regularly. I have done many shuttles out of the lot since it was opened last year and have not observed signs or heard of any problems in that time.
The lot is much safer than the next one south on Pattison Road and I regularly advise people to walk the extra distance and park on Rt. 2
The only non safety problems I have heard of is from people parking stupidly and taking up too much space, but the lot will fit 12+ cars
