5	There is an option if you don't feel safe leaving a vehicle in Sams Gap. Mother Marian's Hostel in nearby Wolf Laurel allowed me to park in their garage for a week and picked me up from Sams Gap at the end of my hike to retrieve my car. 10 dollars per day was not cheap but it was very secure.
